Memorial service held for senior Pacific diplomat

A memorial service has been held in Fiji for senior Pacific diplomat Falani Aukuso.
Hundreds of people gathered in Suva to pay their respects to the deputy secretary general of the Secretariat of the Pacific Community.
Mr Aukuso was found dead in his Fiji home last week.
Secretariat Director General Jimmie Rodgers has paid tribute to his Tokelaun deputy, describing him as a man who put the people first.
"It was not about SPC; SPC was a means to an end," he said.
"In Falani's eyes, it was the people that mattered. We were part of the solution, but we were not the end. We were the means."
Mr Aukuso will be buried in New Zealand this weekend.
