NZ foreign student numbers up
Updated
More foreign students are opting to study in New Zealand after a three-year slump hit the industry.
The New Zealand Herald reports students from Saudi Arabia led the way, in terms of the increase in numbers and expenditure.
They were followed by an increase in students from South Korea, but expenditure by Chinese students decreased.
Statistics New Zealand says there over 39,000 international students enrolled in English language schools in New Zealand in the year ended March 2008 - an increase of nearly 2,000 from the previous year.
