UN envoy meets Suu Kyi's party leaders
Updated
Three senior leaders of Burma's National League for Democracy have met the new UN human rights envoy for Burma.
The members of Aung San Suu Kyi's party met the UN special rapporteur, Tomas Ojea Quintana at a Rangoon hotel, and said the continued detention of the Nobel Peace Prize winner is a violation of human rights.
Ms Suu Kyi has spent most of the past two decades in detention.
There's been no indication from the military government on whether she will be permitted to meet the UN envoy, who's due to leave Burma on Friday.
