Philippines issues deadline for rebels

The Philippine government has given Muslim separatist rebels in the south of the country until Friday to vacate towns they've been accused of occupying, or face a military attack.

The interior minister says around 800 rebels from the Moro Islamic Liberation Front have seized several, mainly Roman Catholic towns, displacing nearly seven thousand people.
