The head of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji says the full implementation of Fiji's electoral reforms could take until 2020.

John Samy has told Fijilive the first wave of changes proposed in the draft People's Charter will take place over the next two to three years.

But he says the full set of reforms will be rolled out in four phases over the next twelve years.

He says successful rollout will depend on the level of consensus reached among political leaders in the soon-to-be-convened President's Forum.
