Australia's Prime Minister says he's raised concerns about human rights in a meeting with China's premier.
Our reporter Shane McLeod reports from Beijing in his meeting with China's premier Wen Jia [jao] Bao, Kevin Rudd discussed Olympics preparations, trade policy and human rights.
Mr Rudd says they agreed to continue talking about freedom in China.
"My responsibility as the Prime Minister of Australia is to be frank about where I have seen changes, positive changes as having occurred, and where we still believe changes continue to need to occur."
Mr Rudd says he also dealt with Chinese concerns about foreign investment, telling Premier Wen that Australia's policies on foreign investment do not discriminate against China.
