Fiji's ousted PM aware he's under surveillance

Fiji's ousted prime minister Laisenia Qarase says he's aware the military is watching his movements closely.
Military spokesman Major Neumi Leweni admitted on Thursday that Mr Qarase is being kept under close surveillance.
Mr Qarase has been an outspoken critic of the interim government since he was ousted in the 2006 coup.
He told Radio Australia's Pacific Beat program that military officials in civilian cars have been watching him since he moved to Suva last September.
"Well I know that a lot of the vehicles that they are using have got civilian registration numbers. They are not government numbers. I know the people inside when we pass them and that is one of the tactics that is happening. They are using private numbers for official vehicles."
