Singaporean jailed for buying drugs from journalist

A Singaporean man who confessed to buying drugs from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's reporter Peter Lloyd has been jailed for 10 months.
31 year old Sani Saidi has pleaded guilty to possessing point one five of a gram of ice, which he said he bought from Mr Lloyd.
The New Delhi-based correspondent was arrested in Singapore last month while on leave, and charged with possession and trafficking of the drug ice.
Mr. Lloyd is on bail in Singapore as he awaits trial.
If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison and up to 15 strokes of the cane.
