Fiji's interim PM meets China's premier

Pacific leaders including Fiji's interim Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama has met China's Premier Wen Jiabao, in Beijing.

Mr Wen also had talks with the Tongan prime minister and chair of the Pacific Island Forum, Dr Feleti Sevele and the Vanuatu Prime Minister Ham Lini, to discuss matters of bilateral interest.

The Fiji Times reports, the Fiji delegation will also travel to South China to visit an ethanol plant and inspect low cost housing models prepared by Chinese companies that are interested in developing low cost housing in Fiji.

The delegation is expected to return to Fiji on August 15th.
