Trekker well again after PNG fall
Updated
An Australian lawyer who had to be rescued by the US Navy after she fell ill on the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea is making a good recovery.
Debra Paver, 44, from the south-eastern city of Melbourne fell unconscious while walking the historic track last Friday.
The United States Embassy in PNG ordered an American hospital ship to her rescue.
Ms Paver's boss, Elizabeth Harris, says she was in a critical condition when the rescue team got to her, but has since recovered.
"She is now absolutely fine. Once they got the sodium levels and her hormone levels back to normal which I gather in itself is a difficult proses, her body rectified itself and her prognosis is now really good."
