US envoy in Beijing for North Korea talks
Updated
The United States has sent an envoy to Beijing to help break a deadlock over verifying North Korea's nuclear weapons program.
This is the second trip to Beijing by the State Department's top Korea expert, Sung Kim, in two weeks.
It is aimed at breaking an impasse with North Korea over a verification protocol.
The protocol is to examine nuclear programs declared by Pyongyang on 26 June as part of a six-nation accord aimed at ending North Korea's nuclear weapons drive.
