Delay likely for Bali bombers execution

Indonesia's attorney general says it is unlikely that the three Bali bombers will be executed before the holy month of Ramadan.

Our Indonesian correspondent, Geoff Thompson, reports the Hendarman Supandji had hoped to execute Amrozi, Imam Samura and Ali Gufron before the holy month of Ramadan begins in September.

He now believes it is unlikely because the formal paper work is yet to be completed.

When questioned by reporters, Mr Supandji says there is no rush and whether it is today or whenever he would make it be known and would not hide anything.

If not before Ramadan, October would be the earliest that executions can proceed.
