China's president talks trade with South Korea
Updated
Chinese President Hu Jintao is in South Korea for talks on expanding bilateral trade and ending North Korea's nuclear weapons program.
On the summit agenda for President Hu's two-day visit is the expansion of bilateral relations, which currently is primarily economic, to include politics, defence and culture.
Not included on the agenda is a free-trade deal, as Seoul remains wary of being flooded by cheap Chinese farm products.
President Hu and his South Korean host Lee Myung-bak are also scheduled to sign agreements on cooperation in energy conservation, trade promotion, technological research, and improving the safety of food being traded between them.
