Australian cricketers hail delay in Pakistan match

The vice-captain of Australia's cricket team, Michael Clarke, says he is pleased that cricket's governing body has agreed to postpone the Champions Trophy.

The International Cricket Council has delayed the tournament, amid ongoing security concerns in Pakistan.

Australia has already postponed its scheduled tour of Pakistan and Clarke says he knew the ICC would do the right thing.

"Obviously I think a great result for all the players just to find out that we're going or we're not going. I think all the guys are happy now that we've found out either either way," Clarke said.

"My view has sort of been the whole time that the ICC, Cricket Australia and ACA would make a decision and they've finally done that which is great."
