Search underway for military plane in southern Philippines

A search is under way in the southern Philippines for an military transport plane that's missing with nine people aboard.
Radio contact with the Hercules was lost 10 minutes after taking off from Davao airport in Mindanao, and authorities fear the plane has crashed.
The Philippine air force says fishermen have found debris and parts of a plane in the sea, although officials have yet to confirm the debris is from the missing aircraft.
