Dalai Lama in stable condition: Doctors
Updated
In India, doctors looking after the Dalai Lama in hospital say they see no cause for concern.
The Dalai Lama was admitted to the Lilavati hospital yesterday after complaining of stomach pains.
Hospital spokesman, Mohan Rajan, says the 73 year-old Tibetan spiritual leader is in a stable condition and there is 'no cause for concern'.
The Dalai Lama is also suffering from exhaustion after cutting short a gruelling world tour to promote human rights in Tibet.
In an official statement the Dalai Lama's office says the medical condition has forced the Buddhist leader to cancel all appointments for three weeks, including visits to Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
