Solomons government MPs criticised for missing parliament
Updated
Solomon Islands' Opposition leader Manasseh Sogavare has attacked government parliamentarians for not attending parliament meetings.
Mr Sogavare says attendance at this Parliamentary sitting has been the worst so far, with a number of government ministers and backbenchers absent from the daily sessions of parliament.
The Solomons' current Parliamentary sitting finishes on Wednesday, and the Opposition leader says government MPs haven't even turned up to support the prime minister's motion to end the sitting.
"We expect ministers and backbenchers to fill the seats allocated to them when they listen to this side of the house or anyone debate and respond to the issues and the concerns raised by the prime minister of this country," he said.
