Fiji budget to focus on poor: Minister

Fiji's acting interim finance minister says next year's national budget will focus on the poor.
The Fiji Live website reports Commodore Frank Bainimarama has told interim Cabinet ministers the budget will also try to boost the confidence of investors in Fiji.
Commodore Bainimarama expressed concern with the efficiency of Fiji's civil service, saying bureaucrats needed to commit to reducing the government's operational costs.
Fiji's 2009 Budget will be delivered early next month.
