It might be weeks before the makeup of Vanuatu's next government is known, with results from Tuesday's general elections showing no one party has a clear majority.
The Vanuatu Electoral Commission doesn't expect to release official results until next week.
Radio Australia's Sean Dorney reports from Port Vila, local media have been reporting unofficial figures.
The Daily Post and Vanuatu's public broadcaster both agree Vanuatu's oldest party the Vanu'aku Party has done best.
Its coalition partner the National United Party led by the Prime Minister Ham Lini has won at least seven seats while a third party in the coalition the Vanuatu Republican Party also appears to have won seven.
The biggest opposition party the UMP seems to have won seven seats too.
Nine other parties share fourteen seats, and there could be five independents.
So it could be a week or two before it's clear just who will be leading the next Vanuatu government.
