Brisbane flights delay after security breach

All flights to and from Australia's Brisbane Airport were temporarily suspended on Sunday night after a security breach at the domestic terminal.

Passengers who boarded, Qantas, Virgin Blue and Jetstar flights were told to leave the plane and return to security screening areas.

Brisbane Airport spokeswoman Rebecca McConachie says the evacuation was caused by some passengers passing through the screening areas without being checked.

"At 6:25 this evening there has been a security breach at the Qantas domestic terminal," she said.

"Passengers have passed through the Qantas screening point without being screened, and we have had to evacuate the entire domestic terminal to be on the safe side."
