Tonga cuts electricity price by 30%

Tonga's business community has welcomed a 30 per cent cut in the price of electricity. Tonga Power has announced the tariff will drop to around 73 cents per kilowatt hour. The local Chamber of Commerce is keen to see the Kingdom move towards renewable energy sources to end an almost total dependence on imported fuel for its power generation.
