Fiji's deposed prime minister, Laisenia Qarase, may not be allowed out of Fiji again once he returns from his current visit to Australia. Fiji's interim prime minister Frank Bainimarama has accused the man he removed from power, of lying to get a visa to leave the country. Mr Qarase has been holding political meetings in Australia, and told one in Brisbane that his life was in danger from Fiji's military government. Mr Bainimarama says that's not true, but says future requests from Mr Qarase for a visa to leave Fiji might not be granted because of what he's been doing in Australia.
