More needs to be done to fight diseases in the Pacific

A call has gone out for more help to prevent diseases such as AIDS, Tuberculosis and malaria getting footholds in the Pacific. The Global Fund to fight these threats has received almost 20-billion US dollars from governments and private donors since 2002. Of this, the Pacific shares 600-million dollars with Indonesia and Papua New Guinea where the problems are more serious.
