Samoa pushing for local tsunami warning centre

Samoan disaster officials are pushing for the establishment of a tsunami warning centre in the South Pacific. At the moment the region is covered by a centre in Hawaii. But Samoa Disaster Management Office principal officer, Filomena Nelson, says small island states south of the equator need much earlier warning of tsunamis.
