An Australian maritime security analyst is renewing his warning that declining fish stocks in the Pacific are a potential threat to regional stability. Launching a new report on Australia's maritime challenges, Doctor Sam Bateman has highlighted the economic implications for Pacific states of fish stocks declining through illegal fishing and over fishing, and he says the fallout could be serious for Australia.
