Tongan Govt newspaper to be managed by former anti-Govt publisher

Tongan newspaper publisher and pro-democracy supporter Kalafi Moala will take over the publication of the Government-owned Tonga Chronicle, despite being jailed several times for articles published in his Times of Tonga newspaper. The Times had been a strong supporter of the Kingdom's pro-democracy movement, but Mr Moala says the merging of the management of both newspapers doesn't mean that the Times of Tonga is simply taking over the Tonga Chronicle.
