New Zealand appeals for more migrants as recession bites

In the face of the global recession and falling tourist numbers, New Zealand hopes to attract more migrants, with business and investment migrants top the list in the Government's efforts to boost its intake and undo the cuts of previous years. It will lower the language and financial standards for business migrants and unlike Australia is not cutting its total migrant intake.
