Pacific Island Governments encouraged to sign on for bulk fuel buying

The Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat is hoping to make a break through this week by signing up more Pacific Island Nations to its petroleum bulk buying cooperative, when Energy Ministers meet in Tonga to discuss membership of the project as well as energy efficiency and renewable energy. So far only three of the 16 Forum member countries have signed on to the deal.
