An Amnesty International expert who has just completed a fact-finding mission to Fiji says the civilian population is living in fear under the draconian measures implemented by the military regime. Apolosi Bose, the London-based Pacific Researcher for Amnesty International, was in Fiji on a mission before the abolition of the constitution on April the 10th. He says Amnesty International is calling for the immediate restoration of the constitution, an independent judiciary and the rule of law.
