Former Australian PM calls for tougher measures against Fiji

While there's been criticism of Australia and New Zealand over their heavy-handed approach towards Fiji, some believe the approach hasn't been heavy-handed enough. Former Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser was co-chair of the Commonwealth's Eminent Person's group on South Africa, which played a major role in a negotiated settlement allowing for a smooth transition of Government in the republic. Mr Fraser says there is a need for tougher action against Fiji even if it means tougher times for the general community.
