Solomon Islands Prime Minister has announced the five-members of the nation's first Truth and Reconciliation Commission. The commission will be chaired by Father Sam Ata, Commissioner Caroline Laore and Commissioner George Kejoa, with Sofia Macher of Peru and Ratu Joni Madraiwiwi of Fiji completing the panel. It's job is to look at the causes and effects of the ethnic tensions that sparked waves of violence and destruction between 1998 and 2003. South African archbishop Sir Desmond Tutu will arrive in the Solomon Islands on Tuesday to launch the commission, and is expected to meet with it's members during his stay in Honiara.
