Samoan censorship board bans film for contradicting Christian beliefs
Updated
The Samoan Censor Board has given its reasons for banning the award winning film 'Milk', saying the movie is inappropriate and contradictory to Christian beliefs and Samoan culture. The move has angered some segments of the community in Samoa, including the Fa'afafine Association. The film is based on the life of gay rights activist Harvey Milk, who became the first openly gay person to hold significant public office in the United States of America.
