PNG population set to double

Papua New Guinea's population is set to double over the next 20 years if the current trend continues. Fifty percent of the population are already 15 years or younger. Delegates at a conference hosted by the United Nations Fund for Population Activities were told... the government will not be able to provide basic services if the population continues to expand at the current rate of 2.7 per cent.
