Australian Indigenous film wins Cannes Camera d'Or

Indigenous Australian film director Warwick Thornton is celebrating today having just won a prestigious award at the Cannes Film Festival. He's convinced he won't be the last indigenous filmmaker on the podium at the festival. The 38-year-old from Alice Springs, in central Australia, says the world should watch-out for the talent emerging from indigenous communities. His movie Samson and Delilah is now gaining international recognition - having scooped the Camera D'or award for best first film - and it's already focussing attention on the work of his colleagues.
