Japan strengthens Pacific partnerships at PALM5

The Japanese Government has proposed an array of financial and technical partnerships with Pacific countries at the Fifth Pacific Islands Leaders Forum in Japan. The Japanese Government will provide more than half a billion US dollars in assistance over the next three years. Proposals include financial support for the improvement of hospitals, transport, fisheries and communication infrastructure.
