Regional law groups condemn Fiji Legal Practitioners Decree

Regional bodies are beginning to voice opposition to Fiji's latest presidental decree. The Legal Practitioners Decree hands over the issuing of practitioners licences to the Chief Registrar - a move which the Law Council of Australia views as another attack on the independence of the judiciary.
