Australian diplomats continue PNG provincial outreach

Leading up to Wednesday's Australia-Papua New Guinea Ministerial Forum, Australia's High Commissioner to PNG says relations between the two countries have excelled in the last 18 months. Chris Moraitis completed a trip earlier this month to the Morobe and Madang provinces with the Head of AusAid, Bill Costello, and the Senior Trade Commissioner John Brand.

During the visit they had discussions with the business community, civil society groups and politicians in these two provinces. Mr Moraitis says it's important to get the development-donor relationship and the business community working together to achieve economic growth in PNG.
