PNG Walk Against Corruption sees large turn-out
Updated
Transparency International PNG's anti-corruption group has hailed this weekend's Walk Against Corruption a success. Around 3,000 demonstrators, including 150 major companies, called on their countrymen to stop using traditional systems as an excuse to break the law. The march, led by Governor-General Sir Paulias Matane, wound through Port Moresby under the banner "Enough is Enough". Last year Transparency International ranked PNG as the most corrupt country in the Pacific.
