Former PNG General says Fiji officers oppose Bainimarama

A former commander of Papua New Guinea's defence force says senior Fiji military officers believe interim prime minister Frank Bainimarama is a madman. General Jerry Singirok, who led the PNGDF during the Sandline mercenary affair in the 1990s, says the Fiji army officers he has spoken to do not support the military takeover. But he says they've told him they dare not speak out because of fear of what might happen to them.
