The Pew Whales Conservation Project says a number of countries are talking about increasing their annual whale quotas. Senior Political Adviser for the group Remi Parmentier says the 61st meeting of the International Whale Commission in Portugal needs to take a strong stand against Japan. He warns that failure to do so will see the Commission's credibility take a nose dive and other whaling nations may follow Japan's lead in the annual whale hunt.
