ASamoan congressman moderates Australia, NZ criticism

American Samoa's congressman has qualified his statements criticising Australia and New Zealand over their attitude towards the coup-installed interim government in Fiji. Faleomavaega Eni Hunkin says while he still believes more consideration needs to be given to helping the people of Fiji rather than punishing the regime, his original comments were aimed more at Washington than Canberra or Wellington.
