Rise of marine industry gains Australian budget attention

Australia is changing the way it thinks about its vast ocean territory - one of the biggest in the world - as its marine industries now add an estimated $A40 billion to its bottom line. That's more than Australia makes from agriculture, and the science that supports our marine industries got a funding boost in this year's national Budget. The extra money will allow a better understanding of the ocean and how it drives our climate.
