A dictionary of the Chamorro language on Guam which was lost for decades has been rediscovered and published. The dictionary was compiled using handwritten notes by several Chamorro elders in the late 1970s, but their work was put in a box and lost for many years. Sylvia Flores, acting president of the Department of Chamorro Affairs, says this rediscovered Chamorro-English dictionary will go a long way towards helping preserve Guam's indigenous language.
