IFC considers investment in Solomons Gold Ridge mine

The International Finance Corporation is considering a major investment in the Gold Ridge mine in Solomon Islands. Solomon Islands has been one of the countries hardest hit by the global economic crisis, and the Gold Ridge mine is seen as one of the few big projects that could make a substantial difference to the country's economic performance.
