Fiji newspaperman storms out of media conference

Representatives of media organisations from throughout the Pacific are meeting in Vanuatu and discussing how they might support their colleagues in Fiji who are suffering under tight military censorship. Every two years, the regional media body, the Pacific Islands News Association, PINA, meets to discuss issues confronting the industry and challenging journalists in the region.
The 2009 conference was launched by the Prime Minister of Vanuatu, Edward Natapei, on Sunday.
