World's first climate refugees describe challenges

The Carteret Islanders of Papua New Guinea are among the world's first environmental refugees, with locals already relocating due to the impacts of climate change. This week, a forum took place in Melbourne which discussed the current environmental situation in the Carteret Islands with hopes to raise funds to assist them with their gradual relocation. The woman at the helm of the Carteret Islanders' plight - and in Melbourne to share her people's story - is community leader, Ursula Rakova.
