PNG resources boom prompts call for national trust fund

Papua New Guinea's economy has seen plenty of highs and lows over the years. Seasons of sudden prosperity, courtesy of resources projects, have been followed by periods of penury as the proceeds have wasted away. Now Papua New Guinea is benefiting from the proceeds of massive LNG projects, and there are calls for the setting up of a Future Generations Fund to ensure the benefits are shared throughout community.
