Pacific islands' climate concerns are iIn Australia's interest.

The head of the United Nations' Climate agency says it's in Australia's geo-political interest that the global climate talks in Denmark address the concerns of Pacific island countries. Yvo de Boer says this is because the Pacific islands are the most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. And Mr de Boer says Australia is aware of and is sensitive to the effects of climate change its island neighbours.The UN envoy will be in Cairns next week for the Pacific Islands Forum Leaders' summit.
