Scientists developed first genetically-modified strain of malaria

Australian scientists have developed the world's first genetically-modified strain of malaria... that will now be used as a live vaccine against the disease.
Human trials of the vaccine will start in the United States early next year. Malaria kills more than one million people each year, mostly children.
