PNG takes new direction in fight against Aids

The Papua New Guinea National Aids Council says it's taking a new direction in its fight against the HIV and Aids epidemic in the country. The council says its focus now will be on preventing the spread of HIV/Aids infections in the rural areas of PNG to focus on prevetning the spread of the HIV and Aids infections in rural areas in the country. PNG has one of the highest prevalence of iInfection rates in the Asia Pacific region with about 25 000 people living with the HIV virus.
